Chili Cheese Dog Bake

All beef hot dogs are wrapped up with cheese in some Pillsbury pizza dough, then baked on top of a bed of chili. I dressed up the tops of these with a quick melted butter that’s seasoned to perfection.

It’s everything you love about a classic chili cheese dogs, made into a comforting dinner that your whole family will love. Trust me, my whole family L.O.V.E.D this.

  1. Are you kidding me? This is insane! I need this in my life this weekend.

  2. Hi! This looks amazing! Question: over on Pillsbury there is a comment about the recipe saying that the dough didn’t cook through because it sits on top of the chili. Did you find this to be true when you made it? I must make this for my family. Thanks for the recipe!

    • Hi Cindi, if you look at their comment it states that they used crescent roll dough. The recipe actually calls for the Pizza dough, which holds up much better in the chili. It is not soggy when it’s fully cooked, your family will definitely enjoy it! :)

      • Thanks Shawn! Yes…I did notice that they said Crescent Dough, but I didn’t know if it would make a difference in the recipe or not. I would prefer the pizza dough over the crescent dough anyway….and about their comment….they shouldn’t criticize a recipe after they have altered it! (I see that happening all the time). I will make it as written, and SOON! In fact I can hardly wait! :)

  3. OMG. Like, serious drool factor here!

  4. I think I might try this as a side dish to take to a BBQ. It would be more work but I was thinking of wrapping the mini hot dogs. Guess I’d cut the dough into 1″ strips (length yet to be determined) and wrap. Wheels are turning. I’ll report back my results.

  5. Oh yes!! I love Chili Cheese Dogs! And I love the use of jeans in your styling!
