Spicy Chimichurri Sauce

I introduced this spicy herbal treat to you the other day on my Spicy Garlic Pulled Pork Tacos.

Thought you might like to know the recipe…

Similar to Pesto, this contains lots of garlic, herbs, and some oil.

But Chimichurri also contains one of my favorite ingredients, {which makes it loads different than pesto} vinegar. White Wine Vinegar to be exact.

This green condiment is perfect on grilled meats, or any meat for that matter. I have already used it on tacos, in a pork panini {I told you I love leftovers!}, and on some Shrimp Fajitas {double yum!}.

Spicy Chimichurri Sauce
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped fresh oregano
  • ½ cup white wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp grated lemon rind
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ½ tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  1. Mince garlic in a food processor. Add remaining ingredients and pulse 8-10 times until chopped and combined. Store in an air-tight container.

  1. Stephanie says:

Mmmmm. That looks good. It would be yummy with cilantro, too (although it wouldn't be considered chimmichurri then)

  2. I think cilantro would be yummy too! Great on Mexican dishes! I will have to give that a try!

  3. Tricia Lee Riggio says:

that first picture is a great pic…magazine quality!

  4. Johan Lindqvist says:

Made this yesterday and had it on pulled pork. Divine. Thank you.
